Beginning her career in 1985 at Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ms. Eat held various key positions, including Secretary of State overseeing Asia-Pacific Affairs (2018-2020), Under Secretary of State for East, South, Central Asia and Oceania (2017-2018), and Under Secretary of State handling Africa, Middle East Affairs, and Planning (2012-2014).
Throughout her tenure at the Ministry, she also fulfilled roles such as Under Secretary of State and Chief of the Cabinet for the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2004-2012), Bureau Chief for Central Europe, East Asia, and Europe Departments, as well as Deputy Director for East Asia and the Pacific (1997-2003).
Ms. Eat also served as Cambodia's ambassador to Thailand (2014-2017) and held the position of Second Secretary at the Embassy in New Delhi, India (1994-1997).
