The Cambodia Trade & Commerce of Toronto (CTCT) was officially established by the Cambodia Ministry of Commerce in Toronto on May 28, 2022. Mr. Lenny Wong, the president of Ocean Packers Inc. (Canada), and a Cambodian Canadian citizen was elected as the first term President. On the evening of July 05, 2022, Mr. Lenny Wong invited 30 VIP guests from all different sectors to participate in the first-round business exchange dinner held in the New Century Restaurant in Toronto.
The invitees included successful Asian Canadian businessmen and businesswomen, who expressed a collective will for furthering business opportunities through this platform. During the event, Mr. Lenny Wong, the President of the Cambodia Trade & Commerce of Toronto (CTCT), expressed his profound honor and gratitude for being elected and acknowledged the strong support and recognition from the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Wong articulated his firm conviction that this synergy could pave the way for the realization of their shared objectives including facilitating bilateral trade, cultural and business opportunities between Cambodia and Canada.
In addition, Mr. Ke Sovann, Cambodian Ambassador to Canada and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, delivered a 11-minute-long speech via teleconference.
